From High School football games to pool parties at Tara's house, now to the altar. Hayden and Tara started a friendship after he offered her a ride in his black California Special Mustang after school one day. It began with a conversation over frozen yogurt at Berry Berry Good in Flowood. While they had mutual friends that brought them together, their love for deep conversation and good political debates kept them in contact over the next few years while Hayden went off to Starkville after high school. Hayden occasionally mentioned a crush he had for Tara, but she valued their friendship too much to date in high school. Those "How have you been?" texts turned into daily conversations when Hayden moved back to Flowood, where Tara was commuting to college. Hayden got Tara a job at McClain Restaurant, where they discussed daily their returning faith in Jesus. Those conversations turned into being gym partners, going on walks, lunches, and Bible studies together. Within two weeks, they were inseparable. Two years later, Hayden and Tara were engaged on the 14th of January, 2024.
