Need to call Ireland to make your reservations from the states?

Answer

If there isn't an option to call internationally in your phone plan, there is an app you can download, BOSS Revolution, that will allow you to make cheap calls to Ireland. When you sign up you can choose a 30 day unlimited plan to call over 40 countries for free (Ireland is included!) You can renew the plan at any time for $5. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Dublin Airport. Killashee Hotel is located in Co. Kildare which is about 40 min outside of Dublin city center. You can either rent a car, or take a bus from the Dublin airport to Naas and taxi from there to the hotel. There is more information on this in our travel and accommodation section :)

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have a room block at Killashee Hotel and would encourage everyone to stay there if possible. We also have 3 other hotels listed that are all less than a 20 min drive from Killashee Hotel. There are taxis available in the area that can transport you between hotels if needed. We also have a list of B&B's in the area that Killashee Hotel recommended. If anyone is interested please reach out to Hayde & Thomas for the list of recommendations.

What is the best way to travel around Ireland?

Answer

If you are planning to stay for the long weekend, we highly suggest renting a car to travel around. This is also the best way to sight see and explore other areas of the country. There is a link in the travel section on tips for renting a car in Ireland. Keep in mind that whomever is driving should be comfortable driving on the left side of the road!
