Brad and Austin met at Slippery Rock University. Austin credits Brad for teaching him to live like an adult from their time as roommates. Brad visited Austin many times in Texas, whether that was on his own dime or covered by a “work trip.”

Gabby & Steph "learned how to teach" together at TFA Institute in 2013. Since then, they've actually learned how to teach and enjoy sharing funny middle school stories over happy hour.

Abir and Austin grew up and played soccer together from elementary school to high school. Abir and Austin were joined by Neil for their senior trip after high school to Virginia Beach for a music festival. They also ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain a few years ago.

Jessica is Steph's big sister, but more importantly, Antonio's mom. Steph "credits" Jessica for her identity crisis and sassiness.

Ross and Austin met when each of them moved to San Antonio for Teach for America. They lived together for 3 years and Austin credits Ross’s wingman abilities in helping he and Steph start dating.

Christie became Steph's first Notre Dame friend when they met at Spring Visitation Weekend during their senior year of high school. While at ND, they were on each other's exclusive study group list, writing long political science papers while eating teddy grahams and listening to Spanish music.

Josh and Austin met during their freshmen year at Slippery Rock University when they were placed together as roommates. They lived together for 3 years in college and helped each other become more well rounded people. Josh helped introduce Austin to country music and Austin convinced Josh to play intramural soccer.

Lorraine and Steph met in pre-school at Lipscomb Elementary. They created a girls-only club during recess then continued to play soccer together on the "Ladybugs," coached by Steph's mom.

Kosa and Austin met their freshmen year at Slippery Rock University when Kosa became their unofficial “fifth” roommate. Kosa and Austin enjoyed playing soccer and video games while at Slippery Rock. They lived together for 3 years.

Natalie and Stephanie played soccer together for over ten years on the Ladybugs, Genesis, and the Sting Soccer Club. Nat’s family adopted Steph as their own and they spent so much time together that people think they’re cousins.

Raj and Austin became close during their sophomore year at Slippery Rock University when they lived in neighboring apartment buildings. Raj and Austin have gone on several trips over the years, from spring break in Spain to driving from Pennsylvania to Texas after the holidays during Austin’s first year of teaching.

Emily and Steph met at the Young Women's Leadership Academy, where they have both been inspired by their students. They do their best to keep each other sane during testing season.

Rodney and Austin became close because of the friendship of Gabby and Stephanie. Each couple started dating around the same time and enjoyed spending time together. Rodney and Austin enjoy watching, playing, and talking about basketball and video games, which their significant others tolerate.
Lindsay Rojas

Lindsay became a little sister to Stephanie when they met at Notre Dame. They've visited each other in LA, NYC, Denver, and San Antonio for Notre Dame football games and brewery tastings. They also share a love for Craig’s list puppies, tacos, and Whataburger.

Neil and Austin grew up together and played soccer from elementary school through high school. Neil can’t wait for his second visit to Texas for the wedding to see all the commerce and another round of breakfast tacos.

Amanda and Steph met at Notre Dame, where they both lived in Pangborn Hall and were involved in similar clubs. She's also one of the only people that can get Steph to succumb to (positive) peer pressure.

Tuma and Austin met their freshmen year of college at Slippery Rock University. Tuma was known to use his wrestling skills with his friends at times and Austin is still proud that he pinned him the night before Tuma’s wedding.

Samson met Austin and Stephanie through Teach for America. He taught in San Antonio for four years, watching Stephanie and Austin begin as friends before they started dating.
