We feel so fortunate you have all chosen to attend our wedding from distances near and far. If you are uncomfortable with any of the precautions created with CDC guidelines, we ask that you reconsider attending. Please take the time to read our safety measures and reach out to us with any questions or concerns. Weather dependent, the ceremony will take place outdoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be covered with ample free air movement to the outdoors. If rain is expected, the covered space will remain open to the outdoors to ensure adequate air circulation. We are expecting around 75 guests, which aligns with local and venue capacity restrictions. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the venue. We asked our vendors to be masked and vaccinated per their individual company policies. Masks will be available to guests upon request but not required (since it is Florida...) but we still encourage you to always have one on hand just in case. We are also asking everyone come vaccinated OR with a negative COVID test (within 48 hours of your travel to Miami preferably). We recognize these are challenging times and a lot to ask of each guest, but we feel it is worth it to make everyone feel as safe and comfortable as possible. There are friends of ours attending that have auto-immune complications, young children who cannot be vaccinated due to age restrictions, and guests over 60 years old. They have done all they can to protect themselves and their families, and now we ask you to think of them and of our special day when complying with the guidelines we require of all our guests. If you have any issues with these, please call or text either of us. Cheer to a healthy, happy and FUN wedding weekend!
For separate reasons, we found ourselves at a casino charity night (the St. Patrick's Center Irish Party) in March 2018; Caroline went for the first time with friends that invited her; Taylor, with his group of friends that go every year! From the start, we locked eyes and shared a joke, walked away but kept each other in our line of sight throughout the party. At the end of the night, Taylor came up to Caroline, started chatting, and off they went to karaoke together with friends and danced and laughed for the rest of the night! What could have been the end was the beginning of a whole weekend together when Taylor invited Caroline to brunch the next day. Brunch was followed by a trip to the dog park with Ollie (Caroline's dog), more karaoke with Taylor's parents on Saturday night, family dinner Sunday night with Caroline's parents, and a concert on Monday! Needless to say, we've been inseparable ever since...
They talked; he asked; she said yes; they bought a ring...and now here we are!
As the millennials always say, our style is more non-traditional. That was why a small destination wedding made so much sense to us. The idea of the beach under our toes, surrounded by an intimate group of friends and family -- we were in love! After all, our wedding should feel like us! Don't worry though, we'll have a fun house party after we get back if you want to congratulate us in person :)
