Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Caroline Hawkins and Hunter Hughes
We can't wait to share one of our favorite places with you. Sandpoint is America's Most Beautiful Small Town with so much to do! Below are some of our top recommendations, but there is plenty more the area has to offer.

Lake Pend Oreille

Hit the lake! There are lots of public beach access points and companies to rent watercraft.

Hike into a Mountain Lake or Waterfall

North Idaho has over 140 mountain lakes that are definitely worth checking out.

Take a Chairlift Ride

Enjoy sweeping views of Lake Pend Oreille, Montana, Washington, and Canada at Schweitzer Mountain Resort! We recommend stopping for lunch or dinner in the village, or taking the chair to the Sky View Lodge.

Go Mountain Biking

Sandpoint has a great trail system with a range of experiences for all skill levels.

Dinner - The Floating Restaurant

1050 Red Fir Road, Hope, ID 83864
, (208) 264-5311

Our all-time favorite place for dinner and drinks. Call ahead for a reservation to be safe!

Breakfast Burritos - Joel's

229 Church Street, Sandpoint, ID 83864

We highly recommend ordering the Jalapeno Poppers with the Popper Sauce. Only locals know about them so they won't be on the menu!

Coffee - Evans Brothers Coffee

524 Church Street, Sandpoint, ID 83864

Grab a coffee at Evan's Brothers, a favorite coffee spot in Sandpoint.

Golf the Idaho Club

Idaho’s only Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course with incredible scenery.

Silverwood Theme Park

27843 U.S. 95, Athol, ID 83801

Go on roller coasters, splash in the water park and much more! Great for family outings, advance reservations recommended.

Float the Pack River

This lazy river float is perfect for groups and family friendly!

Fish Lake Pend Oreille

There are lots of fish to be caught on this lake from a boat or the shore!

Shop the Farmer's Market

Hit the Farmer's Market Saturday morning.

Go Shopping in Downtown Sandpoint

Check out local shops in downtown Sandpoint. We personally love visiting Cedar Street Bridge; a one-of-a-kind marketplace positioned on a bridge over Sand Creek.

Visit Farragut State Park's WWII Museum + Idaho's US Navy Base

The Museum at the Brig at Farragut State Park captures the history of the Farragut Naval Training Station and World War II. The Brig is one of only a few structures left of the 776 buildings that were once on the base. The Brig houses a museum of boot camp, naval and war memorabilia dedicated to the 293,381 naval recruits who received their basic training here. With the lake's depth of 1,150+ feet, the US Navy also has a base in Bayview - if you're lucky you can watch them surfacing!
