We initially met at a church in La Crosse called Bethany. Shortly after, we kept bumping into each other at Christian events and Bible studies. We decided to just be friends, since we were both focused on chasing after the Lord. In the spring of 2025, we ended up in the same friend group and started hanging out more often. In April of 2025, we decided to pray and ask the Lord if we should be together. After a couple days of praying, Ty texted Courtney and told her to go check outside her front porch. On her way to the door, the Lord reminded Courtney of a prayer she had prayed almost a year earlier, in April of 2024. She had written a secret code with the Lord in her Notes app: “God, when You have sent my soulmate, and when I am getting to know him, would You send me the sign of tons of blue flowers? In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.” As she walked to the door, she shook her head in disbelief because no one but God knew about that prayer. When she opened the door, there were blue flowers sitting on her doorstep. The rest is history!
