David and Rachel met in 2017 after swiping right on Bumble. Both were living with their parents in Valencia at the time, (grown ass people lived with their parents too). Not only had the two attended junior high and high school together, they even had the same pediatrician! They knew of each other, but had never crossed paths before. With some mutual friends between them, they both figured the other was not a complete degenerate and decided to meet after work one day for a drink(s). David impressed Rachel with his knowledge of happy hours in Santa Clarita and took her to Larsen's Steakhouse. You may be thinking, "Woah! A steakhouse for a first date, no wonder Rachel fell in love," but in reality they gobbled up sliders, french fries and cocktails and got out of there for under $30! Then they walked to the next happy hour at Salt Creek Grill and finished the night talking sports over $4 vodka sodas. The next day, they met for lunch which kicked off 7 dates in 2 weeks and the rest is history! After 2 years of dating, they moved in together December 2019 with their 3 dogs, (David's Charley + Rachel's Charlie and Louie) in Sherman Oaks. Since then, they endured a lot of highs and lows and continued to grow as individuals and partners. David proposed in sunny San Diego on June 25, 2021 during a dip in the pandemic. They are thrilled to be able to celebrate their love with their closest family and friends in May!
