FAQs

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We will be using our Shoot & Share app at our wedding and want you to use it as well. Downloading the app is super easy. You can download the app here: https://www.thepros.com/App Once the app has been downloaded, all you need to do is input Amber and James' last name, Burns, select the wedding date (12/6/2019) and hit "Find". Click on my wedding, click accept and fill out the info boxes. Anyone who signs up for the service will also be first in the know when our professional photography is posted as well! If you want to post pictures to your social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #burnsywedding so we can keep track of all our pictures.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There will be free parking at both the ceremony site (Christ Lutheran) and the reception venue (Coyote Hills). You can leave your car overnight at Coyote Hills but they do not have security and you will not pass go or collect $200.

Question

What should I wear, will there be a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or sport coat.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception sites are both be indoor venues. There is an outdoor area we will have access to at Coyote Hills and since we will be going until midnight, it is advised to bring a jacket.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party and their families will be taking pictures nearby for about an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception site for cocktail hour where we will be serving appetizers and beverages.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation, if it lists a +1 or guest, then yes and we will only grill them with questions for 2 hours max.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have a registry right here on our website and also at Pottery Barn. The Pottery Barn registry information is located on the details insert sent with your invitation.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

In the travel section of our website we have listed the closest hotel to our reception venue, the Fullerton Marriott. We did not reserve a hotel block for guests so should you decide to stay, booking and transportation will be your responsibility.

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer
