We're Getting Married!

Josh and Ali met through a mutual friend in Warrensburg in December 2016. Josh and his roommates at the time were having a holiday party at their apartment to celebrate the end of the semester and Josh called his previous college roommate, Tony (shoutout), to ask if he wanted to come and hang out. Tony was with a group of friends that night and invited them to come along with him. Ali, being one of them, was not feeling the greatest but she agreed to indulge in the idea and went to the party. But in sweatpants and a hoodie. Josh was a beacon of energy when they arrived, excited to see Tony again, and quickly introduced himself to Ali knowing that she didn’t know anyone at the house. Feeling welcomed, they all sat in the living room with lights flashing and music bumping, Ali was quick to answer introductory questions asked by Josh and all of his friends which led to a feeling of her inclusion (but still being new to the situation Ali followed Tony around like a lost puppy when they split off into their own groups). Soon thereafter, Josh found Ali to strike up a new conversation. A spark was ignited. The exchange came so naturally. They went back to the living room to join up with everyone, and by this time Josh was showing special interest in Ali (making the first move!). Tony leans over and says, “Don’t worry we can leave if you want, just give me the word”. Ali then says, “No, I kind of want to see where this goes!”. After that Josh and Ali start the “talking” phase of the relationship through the holiday season while he is back in Wisconsin. After Josh comes back to Warrensburg to start the new semester he immediately wants to see Ali so they start spending a lot of time together. Come Friday, January 13th, Josh tells Ali that he doesn’t want to keep taking up all of her time without making it official so, on that day they become boyfriend and girlfriend. Through great times and hard times, Josh and Ali made it through every up and down to come out 6 years later and get married on Saturday, January 14th, the day after their 6th anniversary.
