We could call bridesmaid Lexie Larson their cupid... In college, Lexie invited Kristen and her roommates to come down from The University of North Dakota to the University of Minnesota for the weekend. It was the big rival hockey games of the Gophers vs the Sioux. Lexie's now husband, groomsmen Nick Larson and Erik were college roommates at the time, and Lexie had asked Erik for his extra tickets to the game for the girls. He had said he would only give them to her if the girls using them were cute. After Lexie showed Erik the girls via Facebook, he agreed. While some may wish they had a romantic love story, it was a classic college night at the U or M of playing beer pong against each other and flirting across the table that continued on at Blarney's Pub. Trays full of lemon drops started their love story, so you can look forward to those at the wedding!! Seven years later, Erik and Kristen have been through it all together: finishing school, long distance, new jobs, traveling the world, holidays, moving, three homes, the good times and the hard times. Nothing has become more clear to them over the years than they are the perfect team and are meant to be together forever. They are so excited to get married and officially start their future as husband and wife. They cannot wait to celebrate their love with all of you!

Erik had just lost the Stanley Cup Finals, when their photographer friend had reached out to Kristen wanting to do a shoot to still celebrate an amazing season. Kristen didn’t think Erik would be into this so soon, but to her surprise, he agreed. He played into it, acting like he didn’t remember the photographer’s name and kept asking for the details. Little did Kristen know.. Erik had set this shoot up behind the scenes. They drove out to a dreamy location near Mount Charleston surrounded by birch trees. It was there, that although he couldn’t get many words out through his tears he had asked her to marry him! ❤️ But it doesn’t end there. Erik kept telling Kristen to hurry as they stopped home to get an overnight bag for a ‘staycation’ at the Wynn. She was so excited to lay with her FIANCÉ all night and order room service in bed after such a hectic couple weeks of playoffs. When they finally got to the most gorgeous suite you could imagine, some of Kristen’s best friends who had patiently been waiting all day jumped out with full on confetti from above and her favorite song. Let’s just say they did not end up lying in bed that night. Kristen and Erik were able to celebrate with their best friends until the next morning with lots of champagne, cakes, & dancing! Erik’s proposal still makes Kristen swoon, as he had incorporated all of her favorite things: pictures, her best friends, he even made a private dinner happen a spot she had previously half-jokingly said she wished they could eat out there. The whole proposal showed what an amazing listener he always is and how well he knows and cares for her. ❤️
