Blair is the groom’s big sister and has spent three decades mastering the art of loving—and surviving—Patrick’s creative chaos. She lives in Portland with her rescue cat, Tofu, and her dog, Bear, where life is finally, almost, peaceful.

“I’m Patrick’s other big sister! I live in Charleston, SC with two Siamese cats and a handsome husband 😉 Food & travel is our love language. Can’t wait to have a little sister 🥰”

“Ladies and gentlemen, gather your jazz flutes and pour yourself a glass of milk that somehow feels way too expensive, because this is the story of Nora and Patrick. Nora and I met back in the glory days of youth. She was in pre-kindergarten, I was in kindergarten, and together we dominated the highly competitive world of school bus transportation. Every morning, I would escort her to class like a tiny mall cop with untied sneakers and absolutely zero authority. Even back then, Nora carried herself with confidence, charisma, and a fashion sense so advanced it made the rest of us look like we got dressed in the dark during a power outage. Then Patrick entered the scene. Nora brought him home, and immediately I thought, “Great Odin’s raven, this guy is the real deal.” Not just because he’s funny, although the man has elite-level comedic timing, but because of the way he looks at Nora. It’s the kind of look that says, “I would absolutely help you assemble patio furniture without complaining.” More importantly, he gives her peace, and that’s rare. So here’s my life advice: find someone who makes you laugh loudly, feel calm quietly, and who would probably survive with you in a glass case of emotion. Stay classy, my friends.”

“I met Nora near the end of our time at Tech. I was a group fitness instructor and Nora came to my Cardio Dance class. We both attended a Corps of Cadets event (I think it was Mil Ball) and she came up and introduced herself as a participant of my class! We bonded over our mutual love/hate relationship of the Corps and from then on, we were besties. From workout buddies, to being each other’s personal photographers, or hooligans downtown, I honestly don’t know if I would have survived that last year of college without her friendship. I met Patrick more recently when I was visiting Blacksburg and staying with Nora. While I haven’t know him as long, his warmth, humor, and kindness are clearly some of his best traits. I’m so excited gates brought these two together, they are truly perfect for each other and I’m honored to be a part of their special day!”

"My name is Dr. Madi Casey and I am a veterinarian from Maryland. I met Pat and Nor in undergrad at different times through mutual friends! Nora became one of my best friends during my last year of vet school at Virginia Maryland and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!"

I still remember the first time I met Nora back in undergrad when I was in Sigma Alpha. I thought she was absolutely gorgeous—she had the cutest clothes and just seemed to have it all together. I’ll admit, I thought she secretly hated me at first. But little did I know, that girl would end up becoming my soul sister. One night, I wanted to go downtown, and Nora happened to be in town too. We ended up sitting together at TOTs bar, ditching the people we actually came with, and just talked for hours about who knows what. That night was the start of everything. Having a friend who’s truly like a sister is one of the greatest gifts life has given me. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to share my passions with, to laugh endlessly with, and to speak in total brain rot that somehow always makes sense to us. When life got hard—and it really did—Nora was there. She didn’t leave when things got heavy; she stayed. That’s the kind of person she is: steady, kind, and full of heart. And then there’s Pat—Mr. Pat Nasty himself. He came along a little later, but it honestly feels like he’s always been part of the picture. When I was going through it, he was there too—making me laugh when I didn’t think I could. He’s thoughtful, funny, and genuinely such a good soul. I couldn’t have asked for a better person for Nora. Together, Nora and Pat are two of the kindest, most genuine people I’ve ever met. I’m so thankful for both of them and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.

“I met Nora through our sorority at Virginia Tech and our friendship flourished throughout our time in the MPH program. I witnessed the spark between the bride and groom from day one! From being there with them on their first “hang out”, to watching their relationship grow, I’m honored to stand beside my friend on their wedding day.”

“Pat and Nora are our former-neighbors, forever-friends, found-family, and fellow fur-ball enthusiasts. Wherever it’s table-top games, tailgating, troublesome twins, or taking care of our simple-orange and tubby-tabby cats we know we’re in for a good time with Nora and Pat!”
