Hattie moved to Bend in May of 2021 with her dog Hazel and horse Edgar. Her friend Darlene came to visit and for fun Hattie decided to see what properties with around 40 acres were for sale. Darlene fell in love with a place in Tumalo so Darlene and husband Mike put in an offer and bought the property in May 2022. As they worked to bring their dream of having their horses to live at their house, they hired contractors to start working on building fences, putting in a water supply and many other projects. Taylor was a co-owner of that company. He started working in May 2022 and worked continuously supporting all different kinds of projects. He worked on the property continuously supporting all different kind of projects where he would frequently see Hattie as she was always over at the house checking on the horses, spending time with Mike and Darlene, house sitting and playing with the dogs. Taylor knew Hattie was a horse crazy show jumper who traveled and worked lots with a crazy GSP named Hazel. After many different conversations, games of pool, occasionally beers/ciders over the year, one day Hattie and her good friend Megan invited Taylor to join them at Diego's for dinner. That night was full of laughter and great chats. This was the beginning of many great conversations, adventures, and laughs. Including Hattie surviving her first ever bow Elk hunting trip with the Morgans and a trip to the Pendleton Rodeo. While Taylor managed to survive a Liversidge family vacation which consisted of biking for 5 days across the Champagne region of France and drinking champagne. Why would the Liversidges ever relax on a vacation when you can exercise! Fast forward to December 26, 2024 where Hattie and Taylor were in Boulder, Colorado for Christmas with Hattie's parents, brother, sister-in-law and the dogs. In true Liversidge fashion, they decided to head to the Red Rock Amphitheater for a nice hike with the dogs. Little did Hattie know that they all had a plan. They all set off hiking at Red Rock but there was people everywhere so a short nice walk soon turned into a 5 mile loop until they finally found a place where there was no people. Taylor got down on one knee and asked Hattie to marry him, she said "Yes"! So, when deciding where to get married, it only seemed appropriate to have the celebration at Mike and Darlene beautiful property where it all began. We look forward to celebrating with all that can join us in either the US where it all began or those who will join us in England a few months later.
