Question

What should I wear?

Answer

This is, first and foremost, a celebration! We hope you wear your brightest, happiest, celebration-worthy cocktail attire. Gentlemen - suit or slacks and a jacket Ladies - fancy cocktail dress, jumpsuit, or separates Need some more inspiration?? bit.ly/hatandpat

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan on arriving at the venue around 4:00PM for a celebratory glass of champagne on the lawn before the ceremony begins promptly at 4:30PM.

Question

What about transportation?

Answer

While you’ll need to arrange your own transportation to the wedding, at the end of the night on Sunday, trolleys will be available to bring you to the after party or back to the hotels. Ubers are widely available, and there is street parking at the venue for those who of you to plan on driving. Please note: If you leave your car overnight in the parking lot across the street, it must be out by 7:00 AM https://www.merrimonwynne.com/parking-directions

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We LOVE your kiddos, but due to the historical nature of the venue, this is a 15+ event. If you are traveling to Raleigh with kids, we'd love for them to join us at the Welcome Party on Saturday night and we would be more than happy to assist in arranging childcare for Sunday night.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ve set up three hotel blocks, The Casso, The Longleaf Hotel and the Hampton Inn, for you to choose from. All are a short distance from the venue. Additionally, we compiled a list of great Airbnbs in the downtown Raleigh area. Check out the travel page for more info.

Question

What weather should I be ready for?

Answer

If it sometimes snows in October where you're from, we bet you'll love October in North Carolina! On average, you can expect mid/low 70s and (fingers crossed) lots of sunshine!

Question

I’ve never been to Raleigh before. Is there anything fun to do in addition to your planned events?

Answer

Absolutely! We love Raleigh and can’t wait to show you around. To help get your weekend plans started, check out the Guide to Raleigh page for a list of our favorite spots.
