How does any millennial couple meet? By swiping right of course! We matched on a dating app a few weeks before the shut down due to the pandemic in early 2020. A modern-day love story started at their first date at Moondance Grill. Taylor did try to show off his car after the date, but the first thing I said when I saw his Mustang was it "I don't like Fords" (sorry Taylor – I take after my father). Thankfully Taylor forgave me for my distaste in Fords, and the rest is history! Since it was encouraged to stay home & not venture into any public spaces - we ended up spending a ton of time together early on. Between lake trips, fishing, camping, kayaking, biking… you name it – we spent every second we could out adventuring! Our pups, Cookie and Casper, got to be the best of friends. By mid-summer, we added two foster pups to the pack, Cooper and Cotton. We raised them from the time they were 6 weeks old to about 9 weeks old. We decided to adopt Cotton and she is officially part of the clan. Cooper was adopted by close friends, and we still get to see him every now and then! We have made so many memories since that first date and we cannot wait to continue making memories the rest of our lives together!

What started off as a normal family gathering turned to surprise engagement! We were invited to family Easter 2021 at Taylor’s brother’s house. I had thought that there were many more extended family members than normal at this event… little did I know what Taylor had in store for me for the day! In front of friends and family, he had prepared a very nervous speech that, with my father's approval, ended in asking for my hand in marriage. Of course, I was completely caught off-guard, but I said yes! The following week we set off on our “engagement moon” to Florida and celebrated our recent engagement! We sent a date 2 months later and dove deep into wedding planning! We are excited to see our wedding planning pay off and celebrate with those who love & support us, not only in Tennessee, but in Wisconsin too!
