Our story

Friends that last

Our story is not a normal love story. It starts with the pains of life in full force. We learned together, grew together, and built a lasting relationship that will last two lifetimes. We grew as our relationship did, focusing on becoming the best versions of ourselves. We started dating April 23rd 2019. Our first date, Avengers Endgame, at the Alamo Draft-house. After a very uncomfortable conversation interrupted by a distraught friend, and finished over text message the next day. Now you may ask, What started this? Well it was months in the making, but the Pinnacle moment was the night Austin decided to tall Me(Kayla) about his favorite game. This man, who could easily go days without speaking a word, spent an entire night 8+ hours with only enough time to take an occasional drink or to show me a video to explain his point. Talked all night long, not stopping until 6 am when I had finally tapped out. A few days latter we finally decided to talk, we knew I would be leaving for a few months. But as you can guess, that talk turned out pretty well for both of us.

Our Next Adventure!

Moving with a purpose

As most of you know, we are moving to Juneau Alaska after our wedding. We are very excited to start this new adventure, and have no idea where to start! We are starting a lot of firsts and are looking forward to exploring a new frontier, new adventures and changing our lifestyle!

Kayla's Story

The uncomfortable truths

Kayla's Story We met in a unfortunate time in my life, I was unsuccessfully trying to save a marriage not worth saving, going to school full time and far away from my family and support. I met Austin through his work, and we soon became fast friends. a year or so latter realized there was nothing worth saving, Filed for divorce and began the process of healing. During this time Austin came over almost every day, helping me deal with a scorned ex who treated me with nothing but contempt, threats and anger. Austin distracted me with games, stories and jokes and soon I was able to take back control over my life and stand up for myself. Soon I was able to create a life I was proud of, and that came with the realization of a spot in my heart for a man who did what no man other then my father had done for me. He stood up for me, protected me asking nothing in return. We soon agreed to see what may happen, and started a relationship, knowing I we would be apart soon. I went home to work on myself, and spend much needed time with my family, Talking to Austin every single day. And soon I moved back to the man who felt like home, and her we are!
