FAQs

Question

What will your names be after the wedding?

Answer

Marriage is about combining two separate lives into one, without losing our individuality. We want our names to reflect that we have chosen to be equal partners in everything. Therefore, after the wedding ceremony, our names will be Brandon Meseure-Hatfield and Natalie Hatfield-Meseure. We know this isn't the most traditional choice but it's important to us that we start our marriage by honoring the families we were born into.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st. You can RSVP directly on this site, just click on the "RSVP" tab at the top!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But since we're getting married at a vineyard, we'd love for you to be able to enjoy a stress-free night off to celebrate with us! However, we know that many of you are coming from out of town so finding someone to care for the little ones might not be feasible, in which case, the more the merrier!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, free parking is available on site at the Bodega Victoriana!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are not currently planning to hire a shuttle service since not everyone will want to leave at the same time. We are assuming the majority of our guests will either drive their own cars or be renting a car for the weekend. If you're concerned about transportation, please reach out to us and we can connect you with other friends to share Uber/Lyft rides with or we'll figure out alternatives as necessary!

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

There's no "dress code" but a general rule of thumb would be semi-formal/cocktail attire. The ceremony will be held outdoors while the reception is indoors so attire might be dependent on what temperature the Midwest decides to be on the day.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The average temperature for the end of May is warm (approximately 70°F). Afternoons might be warmer (80°F-ish) while overnight temperatures are generally milder (in the range of 60°F). Most days are sunny but rain is a possibility.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Bodega Victoriana Winery is open to the public until 5pm so we'd recommend arriving between 5-5:15pm so you have time to take in the beauty of the venue before the ceremony starts at 5:30pm.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! We have a block of rooms at three different hotels with a variety of prices and amenities (for example, Microtel is the only pet-friendly hotel on our list). Please check the "Information" tab above for more details!

Question

Is the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! The venue has a elevator to get from the main floor to the reception hall.

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

Since our venue is a vineyard, wine will most definitely be served! La Bodega Victoriana has a variety of fabulous Spanish-style wines including sweet and dry types of white, red, and blush wines as well as sangria and a small selection of beer. Non-alcoholic drinks are also available. Dinner will include salad, bread, pasta bar, and dessert.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We are hiring a fabulous wedding photographer so we would like you to be fully present with us during an "unplugged" ceremony. But after the ceremony, we welcome you to take photos and share them (as long as they're not too terribly embarrassing!)

Question

I still have questions, what is the best way to contact you?

Answer

We set up a designated email address for anything and everything wedding-related. Please feel free to contact us at hatfieldmeseure@gmail.com and we'll do our best to get back to you as soon as possible.
