Adam and had to cancel our reception and our sealing in the San Diego Temple on May 23rd. We are hoping to elope to San Clemente with just our immediate families. We will be doing a civil ceremony on March 26th.
Honestly Adam and I have just loved hearing from so many of our close close friends! We are scrambling right now to get our hands on furniture and supplies for our new apartment that we will be moving into next week (Adam will stay there until we are married and I'll be at my parents house), Miracles during this hard time! Our apartment was available 3 months early! We were so excited!! When everything was falling apart it was amazing to grab a piece from our old plan and put it into our new one. We are so grateful for our friends and all they do! We are hoping that we can get everything for our apartment in the next week or two. Check out our registry to see what else we need!
Adam and I have talked about it. We might do open houses at each of our homes and do a smaller reception in my parents backyard in San Clemente and still have our originally band come out and play. We are still trying to figure out plans for that but because of coronavirus we just have no idea when we could reschedule.
Yes! Due to all the Southern California temples being closed and our marriage license being here we will be getting married and sealed in California at a later date. We will be doing a civil ceremony on March 26th with an known sealing date for whenever temples reopen.
Something changes every day so we are rolling with the punches. There are three options we have. 1. to get married at our neighborhood lookout where Adam and I first said "I love you" and where Adam proposed (this is what we really want to do! So fingers crossed). 2. wedding in our backyard (which my mom is pulling for because we don't have to worry about neighbors reporting us because of the ban on private and public events). 3. if it rains we will be getting married in our entry hall underneath the spiral staircase.
We were originally going to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon but the governor of Hawaii closed all tourist travel to the islands for the next thirty days. With everything changing we have decided to have a backup and a backup to every backup. We will be honeymooning in Southern California and going to Hawaii hopefully by the end of August.
Adam and I will be living in Dana Point, CA for the summer.
