Vibrant, colorful cocktail attire. Think long or mid-length dresses in bold hues or lively patterns. For men, think suit with fun, colorful button down. The wedding will be outside and the venue is accessed by a gravel road. So smart shoes. Chunky heels and platforms are recommended. No stilettos if you like your ankles. The event will run in to the evening so bring a light layer.
We realize Saturday night will be a whirlwind so we are excited to get this time to say a proper goodbye to all the out-of-towners! This will be held at our house in our backyard so a very casual event. We'll have an assortment of fruit, bagels, and donuts. As well as, coffee, teas, and mimosas to help get your day started.
There will be limited parking at the venue. If you're staying in Petaluma at one of the hotels, the venue is walkable. There is also the option to Uber or Lyft. Petaluma also has a local shuttle that can be called to pick-up and drop-off around downtown. (insert link)
Petaluma weather can be tricky in June. It could be hot and sunny or cool, cloudy, and windy. Definitely bring layers for the evening so you can keep warm if there is a chill or cool down if you're dancing too hard.
The wedding will be outdoors. The venue is a public park so the grass and dirt may be uneven, keep this in mind for shoe choice! There is a barn/boat house that the band will be playing in with a solid wood floor for dancing.
After the ceremony will be a cocktail hour. We will go to take family photos, and sign the ketubah and marriage license. Guests can head to the barn, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.
We're so excited you want to celebrate all night with us! Due to the local noise ordinance, the band will have to wrap up by 10pm but don't worry, we plan on moving the party less than a mile down the road to the bar we had our first date at, Mario & Johns.
We are so excited to celebrate with you all but we ask that the wedding itself be a child free event so that we can all cut loose and have some fun. If your children are over 2 years old or under 12 years old we would be happy to connect you with known and trusted sitters who can help give you the night off to go celebrate our marriage without worry!
