We are getting married!

Once an excited young man was eager to marry the love of his life… this is his story. The handsome Marine Preston was dating the beautiful Ashley when he asked to chat w/her dad. Here was a young man in love w/his daughter facing her father’s steely stare. Preston summoned his courage & said “I would like your permission to marry Ashley”. There were no eyewitnesses but the following event encourage the reader to believe that he obtained her father’s permission. Preston searched for the perfect ring for her to wear the rest of her life to ward off all potential thieves & cause her friends to envy its sparkle. He was meticulous, sending options to her father until he found it. He purchased the ring intending to hold it until a special anniversary. As excitement grew, he couldn’t wait. Hearing a fond memory from Ashely, the weather presented the perfect opportunity for a once-in- a-lifetime proposal. He enlisted his new In-laws. The temperature began to drop. 17◦ then 12◦ then Zero meaning the ice was solid. But it was Valentine’s Day. Google says most ’21 proposals happened on Valentine’s Day but he wanted to be unique. February 15th would be less expected. The rouse began w/pictures on the ice. Everyone bundled up but Preston’s car sprung an oil leak. Why do cars do that? Luckily, his FIL had a back-up oil supply so the proposal continued. They found a spot that no one has ever been. Smiles beamed then the extras left the frame until just Preston & Ashley remained. Preston identified a wardrobe malfunction on Ashley’s outfit. She insisted that she didn’t want to turn her back to him. Convincing her to turn, he knelt & pulled out the ring. She turned & her shock was captured on film. While the words were private, the outcome was clear: She Said “Yes”! After tears & pictures the excitement set in. “We are getting Married!!” Phone calls to loved ones & then posts to the masses confirmed She Said Yes to the life they will spend together starting on May 2022.
