We owe our love story to the legendary Ruf family. Tyler was Alex Ruf’s college roommate at Winona State, and Rachel lived with Sam Ruf in Eau Claire. For years, Alex and Sam tried to set us up, but the timing never seemed right. Whether it was at the Ruf's diaper parties, baby showers, Fourth of July celebrations on the lake, or even the Ruf wedding, our paths just didn’t quite align. That all changed when Rachel returned home after earning her master’s degree from the University of South Carolina. Ready for a fresh start, she decided to make her move. Within weeks of being back, Rachel sent Tyler a text… and, well, the rest is history. We started dating in August 2018, bought our first home in Monticello, MN in May 2022, and got engaged on March 5, 2024. And now, here we are—ready to celebrate forever together! WOO!!
