Our story begins online... We were both on a dating site named Plenty of Fish! after a 10 month hibernation of just getting my life together and figuring what dating would look like moving forward. Hassan was the second person I had spoken to on that site, and at that time he was working full time and was also doing his graduate program at Monroe. He had such an amazing smile and that bald headed chocolate Man, in his wool coat shirt and tie, was something I just could not resist! :-) As I was looking through his pictures, I saw his picture with the boys on a subway platform. Based on those pictures, you could see the love he had for those boys, but as hesitant as I was, I was also more curious to see what this man was about! Hassan made it his business to call me in between his class breaks and text me throughout the day. It was a good sign, that he was big on communication and he always made it a point to want to hear my voice although I just wanted to text. We decided that we were going to meet, but the condition was that I would make him pick me up at mom's house because he could have easily been a killer, anddd the whole neighborhood knows me, there is no way he would get away with anything crazy in the HOOD! lol. He arrived at moms house and he shows up in his Silver Squeaky Clean BMW! A part of me was like ohhhhhh okkkkkk! and the other was like, oh lord whose car did he borrow for this date! I gave him a description of what I was wearing, hair done, nails done, erryyything did! In my fabulous MK shades with my hair bouncing in the sun! He came out of the car to OPEN MY DOOR!! He gave me my first blue roses and the rest is history! In the almost 3 years that we have been together, we have been through some hard illnesses, deaths, and scares. We are not and will never be the perfect couple, But we are sure of one thing, that God has brought us together FOREVER! To Happily Ever After! #TeamAdams
