Our Story

12.21.19

It's amazing to feel God orchestrate everything that has led us both to this moment. Our first couple months of dating made us feel that this was truly "meant to be." As cheesy as that quote is, it's true. God's timing and His plan was evident in how we've grown in faith and in life. We first met back in December 2019. I was moving in with one of my new roommates. She asked to invite a couple of her friends over. The whole night I kept to myself, going in and out of my room to move boxes, and simply being determined to finish unpacking. One of her friends, Bryce, kept making light conversations every time I would be out in the living room. I would converse for a bit here and there and then disappear multiple times throughout the night to get back to packing. It's funny to think about it now because I was so clueless to what was going on, not getting the hints that he was interested in me. We exchanged numbers that same night. The next day, I left for the holidays and went to visit my family for two weeks. Bryce and I continued talking online over the holidays. He eventually asked me out on a sushi date (my love language lol) and we just felt the conversations flow so easily between the two of us. The more we spent time together, the more I saw our similarities. We both had the same sense of humor, and we felt like we could both be our goofy and high-energy selves with each other. We both were huge fans of country music (I think this is what won Bryce over hahaha). Our morals and beliefs aligned, but most importantly, we found that we shared a deep love for God. We realized that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together when we saw how each of us overcame difficulties and challenging periods of our relationship. Our relationship has had so many highs and lows but we have grown and learned a lot from each other. We were not looking for a relationship when we first met. It's crazy to think that no matter how much we try to plan our lives, God's plan will always prevail. He has shown us signs throughout our relationship confirming that this is all a part of His greater plan. Thank you to all our family and friends that have been our guide in navigating through this journey! We cannot wait to celebrate this day with you. See you soon :)
