Josh and Adam met through a combination of social media adoration (spelled FB stalking) and Adam’s roommate, at the time, Dylan. Dylan introduced Adam and Josh officially, although they had been friends on social media for a couple of years prior to that. A short time later, Josh and Adam were FB official. Adam still says it was his dog, Whiskey, who really reeled Josh in.
Adam knew right away that he had met someone different than the rest...someone special. Josh joked around whenever a certain Beyoncé song came on the radio. Little did he know, Adam already got the message, loud and clear. Adam arranged to have some of Josh’s loved ones and some of his own all go to pick pumpkins at Little Farmer, so they could join in the event. While their family and friends distracted Josh, Adam went to hide a special pumpkin in the corn maze. A short while later, they were all exploring the maze, trying to guide Josh in the right direction....which proved to be easier said than done. Anyone who knows Josh, knows he likes to adventure on his own and in his own direction. After some persuasion, Josh was finally directed to where a special pumpkin was hidden. He picked it up and turned it around to find the message “Will You Marry Me”. Josh chuckled to himself about finding some poor couple’s pumpkin and was eager to show the rest of the group his chance discovery. When Josh turned around to find Adam on one knee and all their loved ones recording, it finally clicked that the special pumpkin was, in fact, meant for him.
Josh and Adam were engaged only for a short while before they got some news that would change the direction of their plans moving forward. They found out in early December of 2018, just months after the engagement, that Adam’s career could be taking them to sunny (and hot) Savannah, Georgia. After some thought, the couple decided that it would be in their best interest to push their legal marriage up, to take place prior to the move. They both agreed that the celebration should go forward as planned for December of 2019, where they would perform a renewal of vows for their family and friends. So here we are, family and friends. We are both so incredibly happy to have you here with us today, to officially celebrate our union. Each and every one of you has had an unforgettable impact on our lives. Neither of us could see ourselves where we are today, without your positive influences and encouragement. We’d like to look at today as not so much a celebration of us, but rather a celebration of you. Today is our chance to thank each and every one of you for your contributions to our development as individuals and as a couple. So, here is to all of us. Here is to family, born or chosen.
