Oregon City! We are getting married at the end of the trail. You'll have finally made it past the Columbia river rapids, dysentery, broken wagon wheels, and all the other problems the game threw at you.
Maybe! But unlikely. September is typically a very dry time of year for the Willamette Valley. However in the case of rain we will have covered options at the venue so everyone will stay dry.
Easy answer...always the beavers.
Valid question. We are getting married in a quiet town just outside of the city center. All of our recommendations of activities and hotel stays are in very safe parts of the city. For those of us native to Oregon also know that the news always makes things sound worse than they are and that in reality Portland is a lovely place.
The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place outdoors to mitigate this risk. If it happens to rain the covered area is a pavilion and the barn has large sliding doors to keep air flowing. If you are concerned please reach out to Becky and discuss Zoom-ing in for the ceremony, we would love you there even if virtual!
