Don't all great love stories begin with a very determined friend? April and Sarah worked together as nurses in Memphis for many years. At the same time, April and Tony worked out at the same CrossFit gym in Mississippi. Convinced that Sarah deserved a “good guy,” April decided it was time to make an introduction. Neither of us were especially excited about the idea of a blind date, but we trusted our friend enough to give it a chance. What started as a hesitant setup quickly turned into messages and phone calls filled with easy conversation and unexpected connection. When we finally agreed to meet in person, Tony chose a Memphis baseball game for our first date. Somewhere between the first pitch and the final inning, something just clicked. The rest, as they say, is history. In August 2025, Tony asked Sarah to marry him, and she said yes. Just days later, Sarah moved to Milwaukee for work. In December, Tony joined her, returning home to Wisconsin and reuniting with his family and lifelong friends as we began this new chapter together. Today, our life is beautifully full. With four incredible kids and three wonderfully chaotic dogs, our lives are filled with noise, laughter, and more love than we ever imagined possible. What began as a blind date, has become a love rooted in faith, strengthened by distance and change, and deepened by the simple joy of choosing each other every day. We have learned that sometimes the best things in life begin with a small leap of trust. And now, surrounded by the people who have shaped us, supported us, and loved us through every season, we cannot wait to promise forever. And to our friend April, who bravely stepped out on a limb and brought us together, thank you. Your faith in us changed our lives, and we are endlessly grateful that you have walked alongside our story from the very beginning.
