Things To Do

The Living Desert Zoo & Gardens

47900 Portola Avenue, Palm Desert, CA 92260
, (760) 346-5694

The Living Desert features animals and habitats from North America and Africa. You'll have the chance to see mountain goats in their natural habitats, watch meerkats burrow and run around, but most importantly you can feed the giraffes! This was another activity Aaron and Brant did while in Palm Springs over New Years 2017. They loved feeding the giraffes!

Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

1 Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (888) 515-8726

Head up to the top of Mt. San Jacinto - but be sure to remember a jacket! There is likely going to be some snow up at the top. Excellent view of the entire Palm Springs area.

Palm Springs Art Museum

101 North Museum Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (760) 322-4800

The museum has an art collection that rivals urban metropolitan museums, and includes works from Marc Chagall, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Donald Judd, Louise Bourgeois, Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Robert Rauschenberg, Antony Gormley and Ansel Adams. It also has free admission every Thursday from 4 - 8PM, in case you are in town early and want to check it out!

Spa Resort Casino

401 East Amado Road, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (888) 999-1995

Get your gambling on at one of the biggest casinos in Downtown Palm Springs. Just remember, we get half of all winnings as a gift. Fun Fact: They give you $5 in credit if you sign up for their free membership club. Aaron once turned this into up $70 in one night, only to lose it all (and maybe a little more) the following night. Also, drinks are not free, even if you are gambling.

Cabazon Dinosaurs

CA 92230

Take a quick trip to Cabazon to visit the Dinosaurs made famous in the movie Pee-wee's Big Adventure - tell 'em Large Marge sent ya! Disclaimer: The museum that goes with the dinosaurs is a creationist museum. Aaron and Brant do not believe in this at all. They just really love dinosaurs.

Garstin Trail

Garstin Trail

Garstin Trail, Palm Springs, CA 92264

Take a hike up Garstin Trail - the site where the whole wedding process began. This is where Aaron proposed to Brant on New Years 2017. There's a pile of rocks at the top of the trail where you can place a new rock and make a wish. Brant and Aaron are firm believers that the wishes made up here come true.

Boomers

67-700 East Palm Canyon Drive, Cathedral City, CA 92234
, (760) 770-7522

This was the site of Brant's 30th Birthday. Aaron and Brant played three rounds of mini golf and rode go carts. It was basically the best birthday ever. After you've had your fill of fun, you can take a trip to Target or Trader Joe's, since they are all in the same shopping complex.

Robolights

1077 East Granvia Valmonte, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (760) 774-0318

This is a VERY unique experience. An artist has transformed 4 lots of properties into a giant "art" installation. Aaron and Brant visited while in Palm Springs over New Years 2017 and may still be recovering. Be sure to take wine in a durable tumbler.

Palm Springs Windmill Tours

62950 20th Avenue, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (800) 531-5834

Take an up close and personal tour of the immense wind mill fields.

Toucans Tiki Lounge

2100 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (760) 416-7584

Toucan's is a gay bar in Palm Springs with strong drinks and interesting drag shows. There used to be volcanoes on the dance floor, but were sadly removed. Caleb Hartzler and Jason Press may be able to tell you the reason why the dance floor volcanoes went extinct.

Desert Hills Premium Outlets

48400 Seminole Drive, Cabazon, CA 92230
, (951) 849-6641

This is a great place to find some great deals. Or, to pick up the tie or pocket square you forgot to pack. There are some great shops here, such as All Saints, Armani, Barney's New York, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Rag & Bone, Theory, Nike, and Lululemon. If that's not enough, there's also an In-N-Out Burger right across the street.

Integratron

2477 Belfield Boulevard, Landers, CA 92285
, (760) 364-3126

Get your zen on and take a sound bath at the Integratron. Be sure to book early, as availability is limited and sells out quickly!

In-N-Out Burger

72265 Varner Road, Thousand Palms, CA 92276
, (800) 786-1000

Brant and Aaron think this may be a crucial meal for many guests on January 1, 2019.

Birba Palm Springs

Birba Palm Springs

622 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262
, (760) 327-5678

One of Brant and Aaron's favorite restaurants in Palm Springs! Birba has a great indoor and outdoor layout, with amazing pizzas. It's a great place for a romantic dinner or for a large group.

Mr. Lyons Palm Springs

233 East Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92264
, (760) 327-1551

Mr. Lyons is an old school steak house just down the street from the wedding venue. It has an amazing restaurant, bar, speakeasy, and outdoor space. The steaks are delicious, and they also have a prime rib (carved table side!) which melts in your mouth. The cocktails are tasty as well. Aaron, Brant, and a ton of their friends celebrated Brant's 30th birthday dinner here with the prime rib special. It was also the restaurant where Brant and Aaron celebrated their engagement on New Years of 2017.

Larry's Gourmet Market - AKA Liquor Store Pizza

Larry's Gourmet Market - AKA Liquor Store Pizza

2781 North Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262

This is fondly known to Brant, Aaron, and everyone they've ever been to Palm Spring with as "Liquor Store Pizza." This has been a staple at every major event Brant and Aaron have spent in Palm Springs. The pizzas are great, the meatball subs are delicious, and they even have garlic knots. Fair warning: They OFTEN run out of dough for pizzas, so be sure to place your orders early. You can also have it delivered, but then you'd be missing out on the charm of going into a liquor store to buy pizza.
