When we first connected through Tinder during the lockdowns of Covid, our initial date was anything but typical. After an eight-hour Thai takeout feast by the Georgetown waterfront and a couple of wine bottles later, we both left with a strong sense that there would be a second date. In a move that some might call unconventional, Isaac introduced Ty to his parents early on and soon after asked her to be his girlfriend. Our relationship flourished over the next three years as we navigated living in Virginia, DC, and Maryland.

We cherished many moments together with wine dates, visits to art museums, and quality time with family. One particular spot held special meaning for us -- The National Cathedral, where we often found ourselves on dates when Ty lived nearby, enjoying each others company. It was there, amidst the beauty of the cathedral and the memories we had created, that Isaac asked for Ty's hand in marriage. Excited for the next chapter of our lives we feel incredibly grateful for the love and support of our wonderful family and friends who have been with us every step of the way.
