Welcome to the heart of Eastern Oregon's outdoor playground. We've got forested mountains, pristine lakes, wild rivers, and lots of wildlife. You could go for a scenic drive, hike up a mountain, or go for a float on the water.
If history is your thing, walk along the Oregon Trail and see the ruts leftover from the wagons. There are many historic sites in the vicinity, and some interesting museums as well.
If staying in town is more to your tastes, La Grande offers almost any cuisine your heart--and stomach--might desire.

Runs 9am to noon on Saturday. There are a couple of breakfast lunch options, plus fresh produce, flowers and handcrafted items. They usually have live music, too!

One of our favorite summertime activities is going to the drive-in for a late-night, double-feature. Check what's playing if you're getting in on Friday. We recommend bringing snacks and drinks along so you can stay cozy in the car.
Soroptimist June Breakfast at Riverside Park

If you're looking for great food and a good cause to support on Sunday morning, swing by the 77th annual Soroptimist June Breakfast for a full spread of the classics. Runs 7am-11am. $6 for adults, $5 for kids under 12.
