A warm welcome to all. This tradition marks the beginning of our wedding ceremony. The Haldi (turmeric) ceremony is a core of an Indian wedding. Is signifies beautifying the bride and groom before the big day by applying a Haldi (turmeric) paste which is later washed off with water and flower petals. Please join us for lunch and high tea post the Haldi ceremony!

A typical Indian wedding comprises of several small ceremonies over a span of about two hours. Wedding festivities are scheduled to begin at 10AM starting with the Barat which is a colorful and joyous procession, where the groom and guests dance their way to the wedding mandap. Followed by Varmala where the bride and groom exchange garlands. Pheras are the main event of Hindu weddings, where the bride and groom are bound by their hands and take pheras around fire which represents their wedding vows. Lastly during Kanyadan the bride's family gives their daughter away and the grooms family welcomes her.
