In high school, there used to be a guy that sat behind me. I never paid much attention to him, until one day he asked to borrow my pencil. Without thinking too much, I just gave him one. Next thing you know, he is trying to return a chewed up version of my borrowed pencil. That was my first experience with Harshal. After college, we started to hang out together due to mutual friends. I eventually realized I couldn’t get him out of my mind. I confided in Robert and we decided, if I still am thinking about him, I will ask him out. At one point I couldn’t wait any longer. After his birthday, on November 19, 2013, I decided to make the first move. After work, I was walking over to meet him and realized I couldn’t come empty handed. I went to whole foods to pick the first festive thing I saw— A Pineapple! With my proud Pineapple in hand, I waited for him, presented the Pineapple and asked him out.

After spending crazy and adventurous years with Kreetika, I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her and started to plan the proposal. With the help of my friends, I started to brainstorm the perfect way to ask the perfect girl to marry me. I decided to propose where she asked me out, on the same date, five years later. The location where it all began was the perfect place to start another chapter of our story. November 19, 2018, with another pineapple, and of course the ring, I asked Kreetika to marry me.
