Harry was a lifeguard at the neighborhood pool, and my (Erin's) family had just moved into town. My parents introduced Andrew, my brother, to Harry. They quickly became good friends. One day, Andrew brought me up to the pool to introduce me to Harry. It was in that moment that our worlds changed forever. When I first saw him, I thought he was the cutest boy! Quickly, Harry and I developed a close friendship. But as the years went on, distance and responsibilities loosened the bond. Then in May of 2012, tragedy struck! I had a close call with death. Upon hearing this news, Harry got the courage to express his true feelings to me, realizing he couldn't stand to live another moment without me (hehehe). The feelings were mutual, and we realized we couldn't live without each other. We started a long-distance relationship. I was in college at Austin Peay in Clarksville, and Harry was at MTSU in Murfreesboro. We survived on Skype calls and weekend visits. After graduating, Harry moved back home to Jackson to work, while I finished school. Once I graduated, I got a teaching job in Clarksville. In December of 2016, we decided Harry would move to Clarksville with me. In February 2018, Harry mustered all the courage he could to tell my parents his plan to propose to me on my last day of school. He only made it to April. After TEN YEARS of knowing each other, Harry finally asked me the big question with my brother there to capture the special moment! We were all hanging around in the kitchen after dinner. Harry brought up the fact that we've known each other so long, saying "We've known each other for ten years, at least that's what me and your dad figured." Then he got down on one knee! It was the happiest moment of my life so far, and I was totally surprised. Afterwards, I couldn't wait to tell everyone that I would become Mrs. Harry Lovelace!
