FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please reply by December 31, 2024.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would appreciate our guests wearing semi-formal or "Sunday Best" attire.

Question

When should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:30 pm. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes early so that you have time to park and be seated.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

For the ceremony, street parking is available on Lancaster Avenue and N 63rd Street on either side of Our Lady of Lourdes. For the reception, there is a public parking lot on Fayette Street, just down the road from the Great American Pub in Conshohocken.

Question

Why is the ceremony so early? What do I do between the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Answer

Our ceremony will be earlier in the afternoon than you may be used to, because the church must be prepared for afternoon confessions and a vigil mass. This time between ceremony and reception is known as the "Catholic gap" and is common for Catholic weddings! We recommend exploring Ardmore or Conshohocken in between the ceremony and the cocktail hour at 3:30.

Question

What will the ceremony be like?

Answer

Our ceremony will be within a Catholic Liturgy of the Word. There will be sacred music, readings from Scripture, prayers, a homily, and the exchange of vows. The Eucharist, also known as Holy Communion and the Lord's Supper, will not be distributed at our wedding. We encourage all guests to participate by singing (with enthusiasm!), following the movements of the priest, and praying with us as we enter the sacrament of matrimony.
