We've picked out a few of the local hotels and Air BnBs that we think look especially lovely. Of course, you're more than welcome to explore other options if you'd like! We recommend teaming up with friends when booking accommodation, as this will be a great way to share hire cars and take turns driving. The area is rural, so we suggest booking taxis for the day of the wedding in advance. We will share taxi contact details nearer the time, and if you're alone or in a couple we can help with grouping people together once we know where people are staying! Update - November '25: we recently visited the local town 'Sault' again, it was beautifully scenic but as it's a mountainous region, it's a few degrees colder than the French coast. If you're looking for a 'hot' holiday before the wedding, it could be worth staying further south first, and making your way to Sault afterwards!

Travel Note

Getting there

The nearest airport to our venue, Grange de Javon, is Marseille Provence Airport (MRS), about 1 hour 20 minutes by car. You can also fly into Avignon (1 hr 20 mins) or Nîmes (2 hrs). While trains run to nearby towns, we recommend hiring a car to get around easily. The venue sits in the heart of Provence’s Luberon region, surrounded by lavender fields and hilltop villages. The nearest town is Sault (15 mins from Javon), which is very quaint! There are two bakeries and 5-6 restaurants but it's worth checking opening times, as it can be a bit of a culture shock compared to London. Important - we suggest using Waze / Apple Maps for directions, as when using Google Maps journey timings would come up as much longer than they actually are!
