Please RSVP by November 18th. No worries if your plans change between November 18th and the wedding day, just let know Divya or Harry know about the change and they will make sure you're taken care of.
The dress code we've settled on for the wedding is Indian clothing or Black-Tie Optional.
Divya and Harry's families hail from India and they are excited to share their culture with you at their wedding. An easy way for you to immerse yourself in the culture is through traditional Indian wedding attire. For females: we recommend wearing a lehenga, gagra choli, churidar, or salwar kameez. These are long, flowy, and colorful dresses (some with pants, some not) and are fairly easy and comfortable to put on and wear for an extended period of time. For males: we recommend wearing a kurta or sherwani. These are collarless shirts/jackets of varying lengths and materials that are worn over pants.
It has become very easy to get Indian clothes in the US! Due to COVID-19, Divya and Harry recommend that you conduct your Indian clothes shopping online. There are many reliable, high quality online retailers of Indian clothing; Divya and Harry recommend the following: utsavfashion.com, manyavar.com, samyakk.com, mirraw.com, panashindia.com, and good ol' Amazon.com. Please feel free to reach out to Divya or Harry if you have any questions or concerns about Indian clothing. They would be more than happy to shop online with you :)
For females: you can go the long evening gown route, but a dressy suit or shorter cocktail dress is fine too. For males: you're welcome to wear a tux or a suit, with or without a tie. But please feel free to wear a dress shirt with slacks if that is what you are comfortable wearing.
