Our first "date" happened long before our first date. Our friends cancelled plans and we decided to still show up, just the two of us. We got to chatting with some strangers who assumed we were a couple, and we played along (mostly for the free drinks). The repeated line was "You better put a ring on that finger!" On the way home, we kept up the charade for no reason at all, joking about rings and weddings. Eight months later, we had our real first date, and we never looked back. We are so excited for what our future together holds!
