Deep Creek Lake Activities
The bride and groom, as well as many of their family members, will be staying at houses around the lake. Favorite water activities include boating, water skiing, wake boarding, skyskiing, and tubing. The couple's family will have a boat rented for the week. Additional rentals/equipment can be made through Bills Marine. In addition to the water activities, there are many options for things-to-do at the lake. You can go to McHenry for a bite to eat and play some arcade games, minigolf, go-carts, etc. at Funland and Smileys; or relax at the beach and enjoy the scenic hiking trails at Deep Creek Lake State Park. Swallow Falls State Park
A 15-20 minute drive from the lake, Shallow Falls State Park offers a beautiful hiking trail along the Youghiogheny River. This stretch of the river at the park contains many waterfalls, including Maryland’s highest free-falling waterfall. You can even take a dip and swim under some of the falls!
Wisp Resort
Wisp has many activities to offer guests in the summer. They have two golf courses, a mountain coaster, zipline/ropes courses, escape games, and much more!
Thousand Acres Lakeside Golf Club
The bride and groom will be staying in the Thousand Acres Community at Deep Creek Lake and have played the course multiple times. It is a great 9-hole course with some beautiful views of the lake.

Local go-to. Great atmosphere located right on the lake!
