As most already know, we quietly married at the Arlington Courthouse in Arlington, Virginia on September 3, 2021, with only a small group of local friends and family members present. This celebration in Mexico City is our time to bring all of our friends and loved ones together to take part in the wedding that we've put off for entirely too long. For those wondering "Why Mexico City?". Mexico City has special significance to us. It's where we celebrated our first anniversary as a married couple, and it is now where we will have our wedding and celebrate our second anniversary with all our closest friends and family. We guarantee you'll quickly fall in love with the city, the people, and the food just as we did.
We met when Tyler first moved to Arlington in 2017. Tyler was out with mutual friends when we crossed paths at the bar. We were introduced and enjoyed great conversation but alas Megan was in a relationship so other than seeing each other out every once in a while, we had little interaction. Fast forward a few years and the stars finally aligned. We were both single and thanks to a well-timed outing with friends and some strategic behind-the-scenes texting (thank you, Ricky) we reconnected. The next two years were wonderfully chaotic as we built our relationship, established new friendships, moved in together, traveled to new places, married at the courthouse, and bought a house, all while navigating an unprecedented pandemic. Yet amidst that excitement, we realized (with a bit of help from friends and family) we’d skipped a major event - a wedding - which brings us to present day. We're finally ready to throw that huge party to celebrate the momentous day that we casually glossed over in September 2021 and we cannot wait for you all to join us!
