We’re getting married!

We first met the day I walked into Guardian Bikes for an interview. Harrison later admitted he did a double take when he passed me by — though at the time I was far too nervous to notice. I didn’t think I’d get the job building bikes, but I did… for a reason neither of us could have imagined. After becoming good friends and learning more about each other, it eventually became the beginning of something neither of us could quite put into words. Dropping tools in nervous moments, listening to the same music sharing AirPods while we worked, and becoming a team that was unstoppable! On May 4th, 2023, everything changed. A co-worker asked us to build a bike together for her granddaughter’s birthday, and what seemed like an ordinary task became the start of our story. Before we began, Harrison offered to grab me a boba tea — something he already knew I loved — and when we returned, we spent the evening building the bike side by side. When it was finished, we stayed talking long after, as if time didn’t exist. Eventually, we ended up at Applebee’s, where we talked for over three hours until closing. Harrison drove me home, walked me to the door, and even though he was late leaving for a race in Tennessee, he didn’t seem to care. That night, something between us shifted, and we both knew we had found something rare and beautiful. Since then, our journey has been filled with love and adventure. Harrison took me on my very first plane ride and trip out West. He supported me as I chased my dream career, and together we took the leap of moving to a new city to start fresh. Through every challenge, every milestone, and every adventure, we’ve grown stronger, always choosing each other. Our love began in the most unexpected place — in a bike factory — and has grown into something unshakable. What started as nervous smiles and dropped tools has become a forever love, built to last a lifetime.
