How We Met (Bri’s Perspective)

If You Give a ‘Bri’ a Cookie

It was the beginning of my Junior year of highschool in 2016. I was in study hall. Our school had a cookie cart that came around each class, where you could buy two homemade chocolate chip cookies for a dollar. I unfortunately did not have a dollar. I asked the class if anyone had a dollar I could borrow and I hear someone two rows behind me say they had one. I turned around and saw it was a cute guy I really haven’t seen around before. I offered him one of the cookies, and he said I could have both (this clearly won my heart over). He was timid and shy, which intrigued me. The next day when I came to study hall, I was on a mission. I wanted to get to know this guy. I sat down next to him, abandoning my friend I usually sit with. I practically interrogated him, wanting to find out who he was and his story (i.e. What’s your favorite color? Do you have siblings? Who are your closest friends? Are you sure you don’t want me to reimburse your dollar?) He began opening up more and more, and I loved seeing him smile and laugh. We would joke, tell eachother stories, talk about our days so far, etc. From then on out, study hall was my favorite part of the day. We went on a couple of dates and that September he asked me to be his girlfriend. Six years later and here we are getting married. :)

For all the days along the way
