We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you at our wedding (AHH!!!) on September 5th!! You have all had such an impact on our lives and we are overjoyed to be able to have all of you experience this day with us. We have fallen in love with our venue, Sweet Meadow Farms (on the back of our save the date), and can't wait to experience all of the moments this day will bring with every single one of you!
Harrison: Anna and I met during the first week of Freshman year at Georgia College (Go Bobcats!) during the freshman orientation weekend. Before we knew it we had an awesome group of friends that we shared from all the different campus ministries. We spent most of Freshman year adventuring around with that group of friends and exploring what Milledgeville had to offer! During the fall of sophomore year, our group of friends got a lot closer by going on "friend dates" with different members of the group. As we continued to all hang out and go on these friend dates we started to recognize qualities about each other that we enjoyed. We started to date at the beginning of January until June, where we broke up for three months. While this was an especially hard thing to go through, it was ordained by the Lord for us to grow before getting back together. After much prayer and wisdom, we began dating again on September 12th. Ever since then I have grown to love who she is more and more; she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and I cannot wait till I get to marry her! Anna: Harrison and I met the first week of our freshman year at Georgia College. #GOBOBCATS We became close friends, adventuring around Milledgeville with friends and getting to know each other better. During our sophomore year, we began to spend more time together and went on a few 'friend dates' before officially beginning to date in January of 2017. Throughout the years following, we have been able to grow together and continually keep learning more about each other before getting to where we are now, engagement! I could not be more excited to get to marry Harrison! He is an incredible man of God, someone who is always looking to help the people around him and for ways to help make the world a more beautiful place. I truly cannot imagine spending my forever with anyone else and cannot wait to take this next step in our lives together!
Harrison: This day was full of emotions for me! I had told Anna that I wanted us to have lunch with my family after church because it had been a while since we had visited them. However, I also knew that this would be a good way for her to still be wearing something nice before I proposed! After lunch, I mentioned we should go see the park that I had seen with a friend (which was a small lie), so we could look at all the houses and dream together of what our future together might look like:) Driving over to the park was when I started to get nervous, but I tried to keep my cool as best as I could! Since Anna knew Katie (our photographer) from camp, I made sure to park on one side of the park, so she wouldn't be able to see Katie's car. After walking around the park and looking at houses, I walked her up the path where two ponds were next to each other with lots of ferns and trees. I had asked Elise and Katie to help set up some photos and rose petals before we got there so it would look better. Once we turned the corner she saw the rose petals and quickly caught onto what was happening! I brought her to the specific spot I wanted to propose and popped the question! Anna: On August 25th, we had planned to have lunch with Harrison's family after church, to catch up and spend time together. Earlier that week, he had been talking about going to adventure around Atlanta and see a park that he had found while hanging out with a friend. After spending time with his family, he asked if I would like to go walk through the park that day. We spent time walking around, looking at the houses and dreaming about what our future would be like together! After walking around a corner we came to a pond that looked almost like a secret garden. It had a path leading up to it with rose petals, lined with picture frames and a few vases of flowers as well. He led me over to a spot in front of the pond, and then he popped the question!! See below for how we felt that day (and still feel!)
