FAQs

The Wedding Website of Anastasia Pierce and Harrison Starr
Please read ALL the following before contacting the bride or groom. Pictured: the reason we ask you to refrain from taking pictures!
Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Yes, and no. During the ceremony, we have an assigned photographer who will be taking pictures and video, and we do not want any cell phones, cameras, or other devices obscuring the photos. However, there will be an allotted time during the ceremony to take your own pictures, and you can take as many as you like after the ceremony and during the reception!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding will be semi-formal, so anything from a casual dress, button-down and jeans, to a formal gown and a tux - the decision is yours! We just ask: please no gym shorts, t-shirts, or sweatpants, and ladies, please don't wear white in respect for the bride!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Since our wedding is in the winter, expect very cold weather and possibly even snow! Our ceremony will be indoors, so it's best to bring a warm removable layer or two.

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception take place? Will it be indoors, or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be at Mountain Springs Baptist Church in Monroe, NC! Indoors, with heat!

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

No worries! Just message one of the numbers on the RSVP and let them know. Note: if you find out the day of the wedding that you cannot make it, please, DO NOT contact the bride or groom, as our phones will be off and our attentions will be elsewhere. We will have designated people to contact.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony is at 5:00pm, but you can arrive as early as 4:00pm if you'd like to help set up or fellowship. Note: Please let someone know that you are intending to help set up, as we would like to avoid any confusion in decorating and planning.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

There is plenty of parking! Though most of the parking lot is paved, there is a chance you may have to park in the gravel, but we will always have a space for you!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course! We only ask that you let us know how many kids and if they need their own seats. Bring the little ones!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you have been given an invitation that includes a guest, then absolutely! If not, please contact the number on the RSVP to see if something can be worked out. This is a small wedding, so we want to keep it limited to our friends, family, and loved ones. Note: If you are married, engaged, or we know you are dating, we have already accounted for your significant other, so no worries!

Question

What is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

As marked on your invitation, the deadline for RSVPs is December 12, 2020. If you will not be able to commit before then and would need to let us know closer to time, please make us aware of that as soon as possible so we can mark you as a "maybe."
