Jump Off Rock
This is an easily accessible drive-to site. It is a gorgeous view of the blue ridge mountains from Hendersonville, NC and is completely paved from the parking area to the view point. No hiking necessary for this one!
Dupont State Forest
Dupont is one of our favorite spots to visit. This is a beautiful hiking location with some of the highest concentration of waterfalls in the area. This particular hike is rated as easy and is a 2.9 mile loop trail. On the weekends this will be a busy place to visit but if you're staying for a few extra days you'll have the place to yourself during the week!
Carl Sandburg Home National Historic Site
For those looking to get outside but don't want to take on a hiking endeavor, Carl Sandburg is best compromise. This is also a wonderful spot for children! There's a goat farm just passed the Carl Sandburg home.
Jeter Mountain Farm Apple Orchard
While you're in Apply Country, you might as well visit one of our favorite Apple Orchards! If you're in the mood for hot cider, hard cider, apple cider donuts, apple cider coffee, homemade BBQ, gorgeous mountain views, and endless apple picking, then this needs to be on your list of places to visit while you're here. Don't forget to buy yourself a jar of apple butter!
Hendersonville Farmers Market
For those of you eager to do something Saturday before the wedding, the Farmer's Market is a great way to explore Hendersonville's local small businesses and vendors. Every Saturday, 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Looking Glass Falls
If you are looking for the easiest drive-to waterfall view, this is it! A breathtaking 60 foot waterfall nestled in the Pisgah National Forest.
View Looking Glass Rock Overlook
If you're willing to drive a bit and want to experience the Blue Ridge Parkway, we recommend this lookout spot! This is an overlook that we frequent often and have visited during every season of the year. The view of Looking Glass Rock out in the distance never gets old.
Burntshirt Vineyards
For the wine lovers, this is one of our favorite vineyards. It also happens to be the location of our rehearsal dinner because we love it so much!
Saint Paul Mountain Vineyards
For the wine lovers, Saint Paul is another top favorite of ours. Our favorite wine is the dessert wine "Chocolate du Barista" - be careful, it's addicting!
The Brandy Bar
One of our favorite "hole in the wall" cocktail spots. Whether you're interested in doing a brandy flight or a specialty brandy cocktail this is the perfect place. You will not be disappointed.
M & T Distilling
Also known as Sippin on Seventh, is a perfect spot to do a proper authentic moonshine tasting or purchase a bottle (or two or three) to take home!
Blue Ridge Beer Garden
For the beer lovers who can't choose, the Blue Ridge Beer Garden is a go-to right in the heart of our little downtown!
Bold Rock Mills River Cidery
Our absolute favorite go-to spot every day of the year is Bold Rock. Live music, a long list of seasonal cider flavors, and their very own on-site food truck. For those who don't like cider, they also serve local beer!
Catawba Brewing Company South Slope Asheville
For those looking to explore downtown Asheville, this is our go-to brew spot with everything else (Greenman, Wicked Weed, Burial Beer, Funkatorium, and more) in walking distance.
Arabella - Breakfast and Brunch
For the foodies - Arabella is a great spot for breakfast, brunch and lunch! It's located downtown on Main Street.
Never Blue
If you love tapas, this is the spot! We recommend the Korean BBQ Pork Nachos and the Duck Wontons. Really you can't go wrong with anything on their menu. Also, The Brownie is a MUST.
Champa
This is our favorite spot when we are in the mood for Asian cuisine. They serve amazing sushi, hibachi, and Thai food. We recommend their pad Thai and the Dancing Girl roll!
Mary's Burritos
For the most authentic Mexican takeout we recommend Mary's. The chimichanga is our favorite!

For the yummiest donuts and country style comfort breakfast/brunch we recommend HenDough!
White Duck Taco Shop
This is one of our go-to lunch/dinner spots. It's an American take on taco's, from gyro tacos, to BLT tacos, to pork belly tacos, to Bangkok shrimp tacos - there is a taco for every mood you're in!
Blue Ridge Beer Garden
Can't choose between beer, wine, or food? Have it all at the Blue Ridge Beer Garden and enjoy their outdoor space on Church St. Pro tip: park at the Wells Fargo to avoid paying for parking (this is approved by the Beer Garden).
