Meeting at the White House in October of 2018 - we never would have guessed we would have fallen in love. It was surreal watching President Donald Trump together and beginning our friendship. Making our relationship official next month after lobbying at Capitol Hill - it was a special trip that was meant to be.
On New Year's Eve 2019, we were on the brim of not only a new year but a new decade. Preparing for this, we wrote our resolutions for the first time as a couple, reflected on the things we have learned in the past year as a couple, and things we need to improve on as well. As we got up to get a closer look at the countdown now counting down the last minute of the new year, we were talking about all the hopes and dreams of the year to come and how much we loved spending the past year together. We had our first New Year's kiss as the clock hit 12 and it was magical. Mark asked me to turn around and look at the TV - I did. As I turned back around Mark was down on one knee holding out a gorgeous ring. I said yes (as I was screaming of the excitement of course!) and could not believe it. The proposal was very intimate and beautiful and could not have been a better time in our lives.
