North Carolina Museum of Art
One of the premier visual arts museums of the South features an outdoor park with works of art, trails and a live music venue/theater. It also hosts two buildings filled with galleries, education studios and special exhibitions. Permanent collections include ancient Egyptian artifacts, renowned European Old Master paintings, African and Judaic works of art and innovative contemporary art. You'll also find the Southeast's largest collection of sculptures by Auguste Rodin, the museum store and a café for a bite to eat and drink.
Raleigh Beer Garden
A 3 time Guinness world-record holder in two categories, you can enjoy one of our 386+ draft beers offered daily. The North Carolina bar in the first floor features 144 NC draft taps and the “International” floor offers 222 varieties from the rest of the country and the rest of the world. Our rooftop bar features 12 rotating taps alongside of the 24 tap system that is located in the Beer Garden’s event field in the back.
Cameron Village Shopping Center
The Cameron Village Shopping Center, located at the intersection of Clark Avenue and Oberlin Road, opened in 1949 with three stores and one restaurant. Raleigh residents were invited to “Shop as you please, with the greatest of ease, in the wonderful Cameron Village!” Designed by Leif Valand, the open-air shopping mall was not only Raleigh’s first shopping center away from downtown but also is considered the first shopping center constructed between Washington, D.C. and Atlanta, Georgia. By 1950, Cameron Village, a “town within a town,” comprised 65 stores, 112 business or professional offices, 566 apartment units, and 100 private homes.
