Question

What are the COVID protocols for your wedding events?

Answer

For the safety of all our guests, we kindly request that you either be fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to or have a negative test within 72 hours of our wedding events if unvaccinated. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us!

Question

Should I come to your wedding?

Answer

Yes, duh. Please RSVP by October 15th, 2021 online on our website (save a tree!) or via snail mail.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

If you ask Allison, the dress code for our wedding is cocktail/semi-formal attire and the dress code for the remainder of our wedding weekend events is casual. If you ask Jon, wear whatever you want, shoes are optional.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

The weather this time of year can be hit or miss - it can be a little chilly in the 40s or feels-like-summer/no jacket required in the 50s, 60s, or even 70s! If it is chilly, we will have blankets available for the ceremony and there will be patio heaters during the reception.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at The Ridge (389 Upper Thomas Branch Rd, Marshall, NC 28753). We will provide shuttles from downtown Asheville to the wedding - please check out the "TRAVEL & TRANSPORTATION" page on our website for more details!

Question

Will your weekend events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The welcome party will be held in a dual indoor/outdoor space (the space has large open patio doors with a large balcony). The ceremony will be held outdoors. The reception will be held indoors. However, the reception venue is has floor to ceiling windows/doors which we plan to keep open for airflow weather-permitting! The reception venue also has outdoor gathering space with patio heaters and fire pits available for those who feel more comfortable staying outdoors. The BBQ, beer, and bluegrass event will be held indoors but also has an outdoor patio section for those who feel more comfortable staying outdoors. The outdoor patio section has picnic tables and a patio heater!

Question

What time should we be there?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM on November 19th. We kindly ask guests to arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior.

Question

Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food options?

Answer

Yes, please let us know on your RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions we should be aware of.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course! We will have babysitters and kids-only activities available at the ceremony and reception. There will be fireworks at the end of the night for kids of all ages!

Question

Will the wedding be handicap accessible?

Answer

All of our wedding weekend events will be handicap accessible. The Ridge offers golf cart transportation for any guests in need of assistance to any area of the property during our ceremony and reception.

Question

How do I get to _____?

Answer

Please check out the "TRAVEL & TRANSPORTATION" page on our website! There we have outlined recommendations for getting to Asheville, as well as transportation in and around the area. We will provide shuttles from downtown Asheville to the wedding - please check out the "TRAVEL & TRANSPORTATION" page on our website for more details! There will also be parking available for those who wish to drive.

Question

Can I take pictures at your wedding?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony so please put your phones and cameras away and enjoy the moment with us! However, please feel free to take and share (use our hashtag #HarrisandRuhesayIdo!) photos during the reception or any of our other wedding weekend events.

Question

What is your wedding hashtag?

Answer

#HarrisandRuhesayIdo
