Our story starts with Nik. Although my college classmate college and Hira's long time high school friend, Nik is the friend whose advice you rarely take. But after his arm twisting about this girl I ought to know, I sent Hira a message - and she replied! What began as long-distance banter quickly transformed into delightfully tedious conversation where and when least expected. After a few weeks of this, Nik invited us to brunch in NYC with some friends. But there was no profound moment at brunch. From there, we made the tiny decisions in our lives, one decision after another, that brought us closer to each other. Someone once asked me to describe happiness and I thought about how her hair sits on her head when it's tied and how she wears her intelligence, her accomplishments, her selflessness, her imagination as easily as she wears her heels. And so, I decided to ask her to marry me - she said yes! Now, you're at our wedding website! Hira and I are so excited to share the next chapter of our lives with you all in September! -Harris --- It started out as a pretty regular day, until my friend Nik insisted I get to know one of his friends from college. A few days later, Harris messaged me - and has not stopped messaging me ever since! From silly banter to serious debates, conversations with Harris have always been easy. Day by day, I was enchanted by Harris' unapologetic kindness, sense of humor, and ability to consume massive amounts of random knowledge. Then one day, without notice, I realized Harris was my best friend and I couldn’t think of spending the rest of my life with anyone else. He even convinced me to leave the best city in the world (NYC) and trek to the cold, faraway city of Boston. With that, Harris asked me to marry him - after our parents said yes, of course! He surprised me at our favorite bookstore in NoMad with a proposal that seemed straight out of an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel. We look forward to celebrating with you in September! -Hira
