We're Getting Married

They say timing is everything, and for us, it started with a swipe! At the beginning of January, I matched with Tyler on Bumble. One of his photos caught my eye, not just because he was incredibly handsome, but because I recognized the location in the background. It was taken at the very place where I worked! I thought, What a perfect icebreaker, I couldn’t wait to message him and say, “Hey, I recognize that photo, it’s from my job!” Truthfully, from the moment I saw his profile, something inside me said, ‘This feels right.’ I remember hoping so much that he’d match with me, and sure enough, he did. My former boss deserves some credit for this love story, too. She encouraged me to give dating apps a try, and reminded me to have fun and put myself out there. I’ll always be grateful for her gentle push. When it came time to message Tyler, Bumble’s prompts helped break the ice. His profile said, “Ask me about my family,” so I went for it and asked ‘How many siblings do you have?’ And that simple question led to a conversation that changed my life and brought us to this very point in time.
