Our paths crossed in Falls Church, VA and little did we know what our future held. We had our first date on March 06, 2016 and we knew we were meant to be. We went to RA Sushi in Baltimore, it was, quite simply, perfect. That night, I went home and said to my mom, "That's it. I'm done. It's him". I was even more sure of this when my German Shepherd Bailey met Scott for the first time and instead of her usual ankle-biting ways, she greeted him with a toy. That NEVER happened before! Scott was living in White Marsh, MD and I was living in Rockville, MD. We commuted back and forth to each other for a year and in 2017 we moved in together. We both love animals and staying active at the gym. I love cooking and Scott loves eating.

Fast forward to 2020, the year that made us stronger than ever. My birthday fell on a Sunday that year and Scott suggested we celebrate it on Saturday, December 19. We went to the Lake in Columbia to walk around the water and look at Christmas lights before dinner. We stood in front of the water for a moment and Scott told me how grateful he was for our relationship and what a great year we had despite it being 2020. He dropped to one knee and proposed! Little did I know he had photographers on-site, capturing every precious moment. It was truly special and something I will always cherish.
