We met the now-typical way. Online. Dalton asked if he could take me out to dinner. We decided on Outback. We get there, and I didn't think anything would really come of this date. But to my surprise, we ended up staying there just chatting until they closed. Who knew a random date would turn into something this great?
A few weeks prior, my maid of honor had texted and asked if we'd like to go hiking with her and her husband. I had thought nothing of it and said "of course!". Dalton instantly had a place in mind where he wanted to take me- Hidden Falls in Curt Gowdy. Little did in know what that day was really planned for. Fast forward to the planned hiking day. I was still clueless. We started on what was supposed to be a 2 mile hike there and back. We get to Hidden Falls and apparently everyone else in Cheyenne had the same idea for that weekend. I noticed Dalton looked a little bummed, but I was still clueless on what he had planned. He decides that we all need to go hike to get above the waterfall. On the way there, we got a smidge lost and had to figure out where we were going. Once we finally got there, there were more people. Imagine that, right? So Dalton figures out that we need to go back down to the bottom of the waterfall again. At this point, I'm getting hangry. But, he thankfully found a pretty sunny spot by a tree near the waterfall and decided we needed our picture taken. That's when he asked if I would spend forever with him! 6 miles later and not including the 2 miles back to the car. But it was all worth it.
