Carrie and Nathan met when they bumped into each other in the Trader Joe's checkout line. He was buying 3 dozen eggs, and she was buying $100 worth of snacks. Just kidding, they met on an app. (Shoutout to Hinge). Nathan had just moved to Maryland, and between his constant traveling for work, they luckily fell into each other's swiping radiuses. They chatted, planned a date (which Nathan canceled), chatted some more, and then finally met for breakfast. Nathan can remember what she was wearing, but Carrie only remembers how bad her crepe was. Once Carrie decided Nathan was non-threatening, she drove him to Baltimore to show him the sights and, of course, visit a skateshop. He said he knew in that moment that she was "pretty cool," even though she complained a lot. Carrie thought he was funny, sweet, and easy to talk to. They started long-distance dating and got together each time Nathan was briefly back in town. Time apart became more difficult, and as time passed, Nathan eagerly moved on from his traveling job. He decided enough was enough, and it was time to officially plant roots with Carrie and her golden retriever, Willow, in Maryland. They've been together since 2018 and are beyond excited to tie the knot in 2026 with all of our favorite people. Promise you'll look away when we do our first dance, though. We still haven't practiced.
